On this course you will learn to identify different types of online bullying, navigate websites safety and be able to report abuse, and navigate for sources of help and create online safety rules. You will be able to recognise and secure risky activities associated with social networking while being able to outline the dangers of meeting people online, through viewing and commenting on online safety videos. You will be able to recognise secure and risky activities when using the Internet for social purposes and know the common ways of making social contract, and the advantages and disadvantages of these.

This course is suitable for anyone looking for a career in supervising Internet use by children or vulnerable adults’, or people looking to start a career in computer forensics, where the ability to identify risk websites is becoming essential. Funding might be available in Wales for those wanting to enter these careers who were made redundant in the last 6-months through the Re-Act Scheme.
We offer two different versions of the Internet Safety Awareness Course – One for Children and a different one for adults, including parents and teachers.
